Ankita received her Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University in 2020. She began her tax career in 2021 and has gained over three years of hands-on experience in U.S. tax preparation. Prior to joining VGSL (part of Prosperity), she worked full-time as a Process Associate at Thomson Reuters, where she was working for their client CBIZ. Previously, she also held a role as a Tax Associate at Datamatics Global Services Ltd. Throughout her career, she’s been involved in preparing and directly submitting individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120C) for clients.

  • Favorite thing about my job: What I enjoy most about working here as a tax preparer is the blend of analytical thinking and constant learning. Every return presents a unique scenario, which challenges me to apply tax laws accurately while staying up to date with evolving regulations.
  • Desert Island Book: If I were stranded on a desert island, I’d take “Agnipankh” by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. It’s an inspiring read that reflects on resilience, purpose, and dedication. The book’s message about overcoming challenges and staying grounded in values would be a strong source of motivation and hope in any situation.
  • Favorite work outing you’ve been on: One of my favorite work outings was a team-building event where we had a mix of fun activities, great food, and the chance to connect with colleagues outside the usual work setting. It was refreshing to step away from the day-to-day routine and bond with the team in a more relaxed environment.
  • Favorite vacation you’ve taken: My favorite vacation was a trip to Mahabaleshwar, where I got the perfect mix of relaxation, exploration, and quality time with loved ones.
  • What is the best dish you can cook? The best dish I can cook is Puranpoli—a traditional Maharashtrian sweet. Preparing it connects me to my roots and brings a sense of comfort and celebration.
  • Favorite movie quote: “Dream big, but be prepared to work for them!” This quote inspires me to stay ambitious while reminding me that dedication and effort are key to turning dreams into reality.
  • What is your side gig/passion project/hobby? Outside of work, I enjoy dancing & nature photography.
