Coby Haimcpa

Coby Haim graduated from the University of New York – College of Staten Island with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Shortly after graduating, he obtained his CPA and began his career in a small accounting firm where he serviced the average “mom & pop” taxpayer. Eager to expand his knowledge, he later moved to a mid-size firm in New York City where he gained experience in the taxation of ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, privately held businesses, and various investment funds and the planning that comes along with it. After a 5-year tenure, Coby decided his passion was to help mid-size businesses build wealth and create the “next generation” of high-net-worth taxpayers. In 2019, he joined Dorfman, Mizrach, & Thaler, LLP, now merged with Prosperity Partners. Here he has gained expertise in various closely-held operating industries and provides planning, consulting, and tax services to both the businesses and their owners.

• What is the best dish you can cook? Shakshouka, but I can also throw a mean barbeque.
• Favorite vacation you’ve taken: I spent a month traveling throughout Israel with my wife. We caught up with family, visited holy sites, and relaxed on the beach. Looking forward to doing this again someday with our children!
• What would your last meal be? My Savta’s (Grandmother’s) Kubbeh Selek – Iraqi semolina dumplings stuffed with meat in a red beet sauce
