EXPERTISE: Tax Compliance and State and Local Tax

  • Favorite thing about my job: The people, who have been nothing but kind from the start, making it a very comfortable place to work.
  • Desert island book: “Invisible Man” by Ralph Ellison, this book transformed life after the first time reading it in high school. Ellison’s ability to embed such thought-provoking concepts within each line has amazed me until this day.
Favorite vacation you’ve taken: Costa Rica, it was my first time out of the country and with no itinerary other than a place to stay my friends and I made an unforgettable experience.
  • What is your side gig/passion project/hobby? My side passion outside of accounting is creative writing. I have always been drawn to writing since a youth. It wasn’t until my time in university where my interest peaked and I dove into the pen. I find expressing my emotions on paper is not only relieving but beneficial for those going through the same things as me.
  • What would the title of your autobiography be? The title of my autobiography would be “A Man and His Word.” Since I was a child my father instilled in me there’s nothing greater to a man than his word. This concept has carried me through my lowest and highest parts of my life reminding me the importance of commitment. An individual’s word is more than just expression it is a binding vow that makes them who they are.
  • Favorite concert you’ve attended: Kendrick Lamar Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers Tour was the best performance I have ever seen. I was practically raised by Kendrick’s music and seeing him performing live was surreal.
  • If you could have dinner with one Marvel character, who would it be and why? Doctor Doom. Despite being one of Marvel’s greatest villains Doom has endless knowledge of the world and its whereabouts. I’d love to pick his mind on this and maybe pick up some magic along the way.
  • What would your last meal be? Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, and Beans and Rice. Not much to be said here, Jamaican food is just mouth watering it would be a fine last meal.
