Liz Butler

Liz Butler serves as Prosperity’s Director of Operations and leads the firm’s Learning and Development initiatives. She’s passionate about lifelong learning and fostering a culture of learning and development at Prosperity. Prior to the acquisition, Liz spent 12 years as the Director of Operations for Pipaya, building out the entire back-office operations of the firm. Liz is a CPA and began her career as an Auditor with Arthur Andersen. Other career highlights include working in Accounting Operations at various companies in the commercial finance, hospitality, real estate, and healthcare industries. She graduated from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce with a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and a concentration in Accounting. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, crafting, and decorating beautiful spaces at home.

• Favorite Vacation you’ve taken: My honeymoon in Belize. The excursions and adventures were amazing – sleeping in a treehouse, ziplining and horseback riding through the jungle, and kayaking on the Sittee River, just to name a few.

• Favorite concert you’ve attended: Jimmy Buffett at Wolf Trap. It was my first concert, and I went during an intern recruiting event. Jimmy was awesome but the “Parrot Heads” were even more entertaining!
• Favorite workout or sport to play: Field hockey – I played in high school and fell in love with the sport. Playing AAU my senior year was the ultimate highlight.
• What is your side gig/passion project/hobby? My kids are social kidpreneurs running a small business, so my side hustle is “volunteering” for them in the evenings and on weekends.
